Disasters Are Never Planned

BUT YOU CAN PLAN

to Survive a Disaster.

Disasters usually happen without warning: theft, flooding, lightning, fire or the most common—hard drive failure.

We have a customer whose business burned to the ground, another whose computer was stolen, and several whose hard drives failed. These things can happen to anyone, suddenly and without warning.

Events such as these can destroy all your contacts, vendor and customer files, inventory, payroll, and tax records. Could you survive an IRS audit without your records? Would you have the time, money and ability to accurately reconstruct them?

When you consider the time and money invested entering data into your computer systems, you will realize the true cost of your records. What value do you place on your accounts receivable? Would you like to lose the money they represent?

ARE YOU PREPARED TO SURVIVE?

Two Parts of a Good Backup System

Your data, (customer records, vendor records, etc.) and the computer operating system are two major considerations for a backup system. Without the correct backup system, the operating system has to be completely rebuilt if the computer that it ran on was destroyed and could not be replaced with exactly the same hardware. This means reinstalling the operating system, users data, all the specialized configuration, security settings, reinstalling the programs and reconfiguring them, then restoring your data. Even though you recover your data, your business may be down for days or even weeks and operational glitches will occur for months. Can you still operate from paper? Can you afford the disruption to your business?

Do You Have a Good Backup Solution?

Hopefully you do. Is it checked every day to see that it completed successfully? Can your backup be restored to different hardware? Do you take your data offsite? When your backup data is in the same location as your computer, you can loose everything in a disaster.
The best way to safeguard your data is to store it in a separate location from your computer. It is then extremely unlikely that a disaster would destroy both your computer and the offsite backup data.

Sonrise Managed Backup Solution

We can provide your company with a customized backup solution to safeguard your data. We offer various solutions from a simple pickup and offsite storage to full monitoring with pickup and storage. For our full service, we will remotely monitor your backups to make sure your data was backed up properly. If we discover that a backup has failed, we will take the necessary corrective actions which may include an onsite visit. On a weekly basis, we pick up your encrypted backup media and store it in an offsite location. Our secure offsite storage is accessible only by key code, key and matching photo of authorized Sonrise staff.

Sonrise will perform an initial test restore of every computer backed up to different hardware in our office. This assures the restore will perform correctly before it is actually needed.

Recovery of Your Data After a Disaster

Our Solution is a backup service not a restoration service. The monthly cost does not include restoration of data. The actual restoration of data by Sonrise, either deleted or missing files, is an optional service. If you ever need to restore your own data, with advance notice, you can pickup your backup media at our office location.
